Hello. i had this problem using a nec3520a, i had difficulty with a film so i had installed several dvd encoding software, i think that there was some form of conflict with the encoding software and the writing software, i reinstalled my c drive using my norton ghost backup image and everything was fine. i now just use shrink and nero
